Omar Vizquel, my hero growing up!

June 25, 2008

The shortstop and his signature smile that we all know and love returned to Cleveland on Tuesday, June 24, for the first time since free agency took him to San Francisco.

OMAR! received a standing ovation and a moving video tribute, and proved to Cleveland fans that he still has the passion for the game, and the speed, and the great range that will get him into the Hall of Fame in the future.

But most of all, that smile is so contagious that you have to enjoy watching this guy play!

Absolutely phenomenal. Such grace and skill!

A bit about he guy behind the camera!

June 22, 2008

Here are a few interviews that I have had the pleasure to do over the past year.

The first interview was conducted by James Robinson, a photographer who contacted me through a photography forum called Fredmiranda.com. James asked me to be part of his photography blog and wanted to interview me. Check out James’ blog by clicking on the link below, and read some of his other interviews as well because they are very interesting.

The following interview was done by the college that I attend and was featured on the homepage for quite some time. I had a great time doing the interview, and often ran behind the camera to see the lighting for myself. The last bit of info is an article written by Dale Meggas, who is the sports editor at the Lakewood Sun Post. Mr. Meggas covers Lakewood Sports and off-beat Cleveland Indians stories. The article talks about how, with the help of many generous people, businesses and organizations, my friend Eric and I dedicated a scoreboard in the memory of our late baseball coach. A lot of work was put in to make it happen, and I was able to use my photography to do my part in keeping Coach Gruss’ memory and lessons alive.

Black and White Sunset?

June 22, 2008

I went out to a nearby beach (Huntington Beach) to take some photos of the sunset after the tornado warnings cleared up and the sun came back out.

I’ve been burried in editing wedding photos, so this was a nice break from photoshop!
